Wildfire Leadership Summit
September 26-28, 2023 in Sonoma, CA
Three days of networking, knowledge sharing, and capacity building.
The Summit will build from wildfire communities and then expand to include local, regional, and national partners, funders, and leaders. An invitation only event. Registration will start in last spring 2023.
RECOVER
Tuesday, September 26
The first day will focus on communities engaged in various stages of wildfire rebuilding and will be dedicated to networking, information exchange and recovery strategies. Keynotes, panel discussions and workshop sessions will address specific topics related to community organizing for the long term recovery, addressing community needs, indigenous land practices, and mental health.
REBUILD
Wednesday, September 27
The second day will feature representatives from government programs and national organizations to connect with wildfire communities to build relationships, enhance networks, and expand knowledge. Keynotes and panels will focus on federal programs, home hardening, financial considerations for rebuilding and philanthropy's role in the recovery.
REIMAGINE
Thursday, September 28
The final day will focus on technology, innovation and building capacity for a more resilient future, learning about actions that help reduce the destructive impact of future wildfires. In keynotes and panels, innovative leaders will share new approaches, best practices, lessons learned, and highlight the role of innovation and technology in the space of wildfire resiliency, response and recovery.

In this era of megafires, we need strong leaders who are ready to collaborate, innovate and share knowledge for recovery and rebuilding. Together, as a Wildfire Resilience Network, we can meet this challenge and reimagine a more resilient way of life across the American West.
