Altadena’s Future Recovery

Story by Eaton Fire Survivors Network.

A Live Q&A with Long-Term Recovery Experts, Local Leaders & You When disaster strikes, headlines fade fast. But for survivors, recovery is just beginning. Join us for a live community Q&A with experts and leaders who’ve led long-term wildfire recovery efforts across California. Together, we’ll talk about what real recovery looks like—and how each of us can help shape the future of Altadena. You’ll hear from:

  • Bruce Yerman, Director, Camp Fire Collaborative (Butte County)
  • Valerie Brown, California Wildfire Resilience Fellow, After The Fire
  • Pastor Amara Ononiwu, Clergy Community Coalition
  • John Mayo, Executive Director, Altagether

We’ll discuss plans for creating Altadena’s Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG)—a local network of nonprofits, churches, community leaders, and agencies who come together after the emergency response ends to make sure no survivor falls through the cracks. Whether you’re a fire survivor, a local leader, or simply someone who cares about our community, this conversation is for you. This event is hosted by the Eaton Fire Survivors Network, a community of 1,600+ displaced survivors working together to access expert resources and rebuild faster & stronger.
