How some larger North Bay organizations are helping with Los Angeles wildfire recovery

As wildfires continue to rage through the Los Angeles area, local organizations share their advice on how to donate to fire relief efforts — knowing all too well from experience the reality of wildfire recovery.
The fires left thousands of Angelenos without homes after the fires destroyed 12,000 structures. As of Monday, 24 people have died because of the wildfires, according to The Associated Press.
According to Cal Fire, the Palisades Fire has burned over 23,700 acres in the Pacific Palisades area and is not fully contained. The Eaton Fire burned over 14,100 acres in Altadena,and the Hurst Fire near Sylmar burned near 800 acres. As of Tuesday, the fires are still burning.
Celebrities, corporations, community organizations and individuals in the Los Angeles started fundraisers and opened avenues to donate to those affected by the fires.
